After a nervous phone call from a member of the public, Zanchieta removed a Monitor Lizard from town to safety. Zanchieta found this litte guy in someones yard in Bloemfontein. After monitoring him for a few days for injuries and making sure he is eating, he was set to be released back into the wild.

Good day from a very busy #Zanchieta. We have a new baby on the farm, a chuckma baboon. He is a baby boy, approximately 3 months old. He was brought to Zanchieta by the Department of Economics , Small Business Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (Departement of Nature Conservation} all the way from the Eastern Cape.
