A guy from Bloemfontein phoned Zanchieta one late evening and said there is a porcupine walking around in the streets. Worried that people might catch or injure him, the team at zanchieta immediately jumped to his rescue. The following day, we released him back into the wild at Soetdoring/Olivehill nature reserve to be free.

After a nervous phone call from a member of the public, Zanchieta removed a Monitor Lizard from town to safety. Zanchieta found this litte guy in someones yard in Bloemfontein. After monitoring him for a few days for injuries and making sure he is eating, he was set to be released back into the wild.
